Correcting Protestant Myths that lead others away from Gods one true Church

There are many Protestant myths and I will post and dispell as many as possible.

Some examples are:

MYTH #6 All Sin is the Same there is not Mortal sin

Well 1John 5:17 proves this wrong right off the bat!

1John 5:17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which is not mortal.

Then we have what Jesus taught us.

Matthew 12:32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

So the levels accoring to the bible are:

1) Unforgivable
2) Deadly (Mortal)
3) Not Deadly.

MYTH #5 You must be fully submerged to be baptized properly

First off there is no scripture to support that Jesus was actually submerged. The verses that are used state:

Matthew 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.

Mark 1:10 As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

The Jordan is a river and you must "come up" out of the river because you must go down the banks to go into the river. If Jesus was in fact fully submerged then there is a possibility that he would have floated off once he was pushed under. The body is very buoyant as anyone knows.

The big clincher he is that in the book of Acts 8 Phillip baptizes the Eunuch and "They" came out of the water. So are we to believe that Phillip was under the water with the Eunuch?

Acts 8:36 As they traveled along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look, there is water. What is to prevent my being baptized?" ([37] The oldest and best manuscripts of Acts omit this verse, which is a Western text reading: "And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may.' And he said in reply, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.' ") 38 Then he ordered the chariot to stop, and Philip and the eunuch both went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 When they came out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, but continued on his way rejoicing.
There are also there verses:

Ezechiel 36:25 "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.. 27 "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

MYTH #4 Baptism inst Required it is only symbolic

Jesus and the Apostles are very united on this. Baptism is required and is not a symbol.

In Acts 8 we see the Eunuch believed in Jesus, yet he still had to be baptized.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

1Peter 3:20 Which had been some time incredulous, when they waited for the patience of God in the days of Noe, when the ark was a building: wherein a few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water. 21 Whereunto baptism being of the like form, now saveth you also: not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the examination of a good conscience towards God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:38 But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? Rise up, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, invoking his name.

1Corinthians 12:13 For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and in one Spirit we have all been made to drink.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.

I can not find 1 verse that says you can be saved without being Baptized.

MYTH #3 All Christians will be Raptured before the Great Tribulation

The Rapture is false.

You want to be left behind, here is why.

St. Paul tells us that "those who are alive and who are left"

~~~~1Thess 4:16 Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air, and so shall we be always with the Lord.
Jesus tells us when he returns it will be like the Days of Noah and the Days of Lot.
Who were taken first? The sinners.
Who was alive and left after the great flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? Noah and his family and lot and his family.
~~~~Luke 17:26 And as it came to pass in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat and drink, they married wives, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it came to pass, in the days of Lot: they did eat and drink, they bought and sold, they planted and built. 29 And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.

~~~~Matthew 24:37
And as in the days of Noe, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Jesus tells us:
~~~~Matthew 24:13 "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

~~~~1Corinthians 15:52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
The last Trumpet comes well after the Tribulation Period
See Revelations 8,9 and 10
Hebrews says he will come again to bring salvation to those waiting for him....
~~~~Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
